Throughout my life, I have found it easier to keep doing the familiar thing because it was more comfortable to follow the well-worn path. Unfortunately, over decades of habits, it’s become harder to change the course I have so thoroughly engrained, even if doing so would bring me better health and happiness.

As many have reportedly declared:

Insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results

It seems fitting that on Independence Day, I will declare my independence from the things that don’t work in my life.

  • I declare my independence from doing the same old things in the same old way
  • I declare my independence from accepting my old opinions, beliefs, and ideas as having absolute authority in my life
  • I declare my independence from any judgments, unforgiveness, and bias that limit my openness and loving kindness

Like the eagle, I choose to fly free. I recognize my clear vision, my strength, and my capabilities. I am open to all my possibilities and am grateful for the wisdom to know how to proceed.

Final thought

Michael Bernard Beckwith once said:

A freedom song sings through me now. It’s a song of infinite potential and divine possibility. I am in league with pure Spirit in the conscious co-creation of my life.

May we all enjoy greater freedom in our lives as we choose options that activate our greater-yet-to-be.

Happy Independence Day!
